"From the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro He leaps into the air, he is gasping for air Chanting out rhythms of survival [Kilimanjaro] I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to be telling you all these secrets and Maybe that's why I keep stuttering in this point and time But the message is clear [WE ARE ONE] Simuntu munye, Sibala linye! Noma amasiko engafani, Lokho akusho lutho We're a colourful people, a rich continent That somehow continues to hold the world in a mystic trance So let's ignite the power within, Makukhanye ezweni, Qhakaza muAfrika And celebate the lines that bind us; our unity Simuntu munye, sibala linye! Noma amasiko engafani, Lokho akusho lutho Pho kunani? [uma engafani, ngoba belu] Ngoba thina sibahle Thina sibahle lapha eAfrika umuntu wasekhaya lona sibangcono uma sibonana zonk'insuku Sithandana ngendle la esanikwa nguMdali Thina sibahle Simuntu munye, sibala linye! Noma amasiko engafani, Lokho akusho lutho Qhakaza, qhakaza muAfrika!

Bassline 04:07
[The intro is an imagined conversation between a dung beetle, a butterfly and an ant, as they cross a public road in the homelands] It's this bass line that's been running through my head all day It's this bass line of mine that paints pictures of home And I can feel the breeze And I can see the tribal dancing in the wind With the drummer beating the rhythm of the land, the land. And the ocean sand vibrates the notion that we as a people are free In this bass line of mine memories of home, far away in a land The sun is setting and it sits on that yellow wall And the children play in the dust In the valley of a thousand hills So many beautiful trees So much serenity Global home of mine in its pizzazz and style and Tranquilness...and then there's us

about

"Elevate! Ulilate!
Saturate the air with your Spirit large!
Recollect! Reconnect! Reset the senses!
Select to advance in a trance of enlightenment!"

These words resonated loudly within, and so marked the beginning – the unravelling of the sophomore album ‘#WozaMoya.’

I worked with an incredibly talented producer Karabo “Proff” Khumalo, and got technical production support from one of JHB’s most established Afro-jazz engineers, Ian Osrin. Together, with this talented team, we made the conscious effort to plough into our culture dome, the baseline, the poetic metaphors meandering through tales offering it all up in this fantastic creation.

"A masterpiece from such a young artist, ‘Woza Moya’ the album starts with an epic saga of a song – ‘Izinyosi.’ My run in with Madala Kunene proved spiritually fulfilling and musically expanding when he presented the opening track. Runaway genius like ‘Tudo Esta Pravisto’, ‘Meandering Sounds’ and ‘It’s All Jazz’ see Khethi completely lose herself in song. They show the artists ability to control a song so tightly, whilst coming across as naturally and free as some of the worlds best improvisers. “ Red Flag
